Hi, I'm Jordyn!
About Me
Greetings everyone!
My name is Jordyn Walker, and it is an honor to share with you that I have been officially selected as a Debutante in the 2024 Cotillion program sponsored by the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; an initiative that celebrates academic excellence and fosters personal growth and development through a series of educational workshops, cultural events, and public service activities. Currently, I am a 12th-grade International Studies Magnet Student at North Cobb High School, in which I manage a rigorous course load of Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes while actively participating in various clubs and extracurricular activities including Football and Basketball Cheer, American Sign Language Club, Fashion Club, STEM Journalism Club, Rhizome, Speak Up Speak Now, Robotics, and proudly serve as the Co-Founder and President of Sending Sunshine—a community service based organization dedicated to mitigating senior loneliness through weekly letters.
In addition to my many pursuits, I am an avid volunteer and activist for various organizations and hold the position of Senior Teen Parliamentarian for the North Suburban Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Recently, I was elected to serve as the Sr. Teen 1st Vice President for my Jack and Jill chapter for the upcoming program year. My goal is to attend a post-secondary institution to study Computer Science and Journalism.
As I strive to maintain excellence in all that I do, I am elated to participate in this biennial program dedicated to enriching the lives of young women like myself and embark on an eleven-month journey of enriching activities leading up to my grand debut to society at the Cotillion Ball on November 16, 2024.
While being a Debutante requires time, commitment, and active participation, I am asking for your generosity and support in my fundraising efforts as scholarships to access higher education are the core of this program. Every donation will be crucial in not only supporting my educational endeavors, but also providing future contributions to the larger community.
I want to thank you in advance for your support, which goes beyond the financial contributions you make. Your endorsement of my aspirations and the positive changes I intend to bring to the world is invaluable, and I greatly appreciate your consideration and being a part of my personal and academic journey.
Sincerely,
Jordyn Walker
2024 Debutante
